Universal Feeding Guide
Feeding Guide
Search any plant — from houseplants to commercial crops — for a recommended starting point for mixing NEWTS.
These are guidelines, not exact prescriptions — every growing setup is different. Watch your plant's response and adjust from here.
How these recommendations are calculated
NEWTS Veg A/B and Flower A/B rates are taken from the official feeding chart for cannabis, our heaviest-feeding crop, at full strength (Veg 1–1.5ml/L, Flower 2–2.5ml/L of each part). The rates in this guide scale that baseline down for each plant's typical appetite and sensitivity, so leafy houseplants and delicate bloomers get a lighter dose than fruiting or commercial crops.
Feeding frequency also follows the official chart: coco and hydro are fed at full strength every watering, while soil is fed at the same strength but only every 2nd watering — this updates automatically based on what you select above.
Target pH ranges by growing medium (soil, coco, hydro) are also taken directly from the NEWTS label. Acid-loving plants are flagged with their own lower target regardless of medium, and phosphorus-sensitive plants (like Proteas) are flagged not to feed at all.
These are starting points. Watch new growth after your first few feeds and adjust up or down — every growing environment (light, media, water quality) shifts a plant's ideal rate slightly. Always confirm with an EC/pH meter where possible.
Sunlight and watering guidance reflects general, well-established care for each plant — not something tied to NEWTS specifically. Actual watering frequency still depends on your pot, drainage, and climate, so it's given as a moisture guideline rather than a fixed schedule.
